FIREFIGHTERS RECEIVE LONG SERVICE AWARD

HUGH WYATT , Lord Lieutenant of West Sussex, has again presided at the presentation to the County's firefighters of Long Service and Good Conduct medals in the Barons Hall at Arundel Castle.

Her Majesty The Queen awards the medal to members of the United Kingdom's Fire Service who have completed 20 years exemplary service to their community and, this year, thirteen West Sussex fire fighters received their awards on 9th October 2003 at a special ceremony watched by their families and friends, followed by an informal reception.
