Operational Turnouts by Station 1999/2000

The table below shows the number of times that the fire stations contributed to the brigade's attendance at incidents. The annual total of 18,325 is higher than the total number of incidents dealt with as resources are often used from more than one fire station.

There was a 7% increase in the number of times fire stations made turnouts this year, with all but 5 of the brigade's 28 fire stations showing an individual increase.

The largest rise was at Crawley , the brigade's busiest station, where crews contributed to 2629 attendance's.

Littlehampton remains the brigade's busiest retained fire station, where the number of calls its crews attended increased by 14% . East Preston , an adjacent retained station, also increased its contribution to attendance's, rising 24% from 379 in 1998/99 to 469 in 2000.
