Just wanted to say thank you to the fire officer from Lancing, who kindly called and checked my fire alarm for me on Friday. Perfect peace at last thank you - except for the parrot, he will know what I mean.
Unfortunately I am unable to find a link to Lancing Firestation so please will you pass this on.
Very good site otherwise.

Melbourne., Victoria Australia

Greetings to all in WSFB from Australia. I was a Firefighter from 1972-81 at Horsham, Crawley & East Grinstead. I now work for Country Fire Authority in Victoria and I have been reading a newspaper clipping about Fire Investigation, it featured Roger Wallis, I used to work with Roger at Crawley. Myself and family will be visiting UK at Christmas and hope to catch up with a few of the really old timers, Jeff Groome, Frank Pickett etc.

Great website. Cheers Cliff O'Connor

Thanks for your message Cliff. Will pass your comments to the stations via email.

Hi, great website, very informative. I'm looking to apply for the wholetime and have recently heard that the brigade is dropping the B.M.I test's as part of the recruitment/selection and replacing them with work related test's....can anyone advise me whether this is correct and if so, when this would be occuring.....many thanks.
ALI.

I always check back on this site every-so-often to see what's going on. It's good to hear some more fire cadet's are being set up in the county and quite local, I only wish I could have taken part but now I'm 18, I'm too old now.
